Cariola assists Enel Américas in $500m revolving credit agreement
Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has assisted Enel Américas in Chile, as borrower, in connection with the Senior Unsecured Revolving Credit Agreement dated February 29, 2024, entered into with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (New York Branch), as administrative agent and lender, and BBVA Securities, Bank of America, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, The Bank of Nova Scotia, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and BNP Paribas Securities Corp. as lenders.
The transaction closed on 1 March for US $500,000,000, with Covington & Burling, as international counsel to the borrower, Winston & Strawn, as international counsel to the lenders, and Carey, as local counsel to the lenders, also participating.
Covington & Burling’s team consisted of partner Agnieszka Klich and associate Nitin Banerjee.
Winston & Strawn’s team included partners Claude Serfilippi and Sey-Hyo Lee, and associate Ricardo Villalba.
Carey’s team comprised partner Fernando Noriega and associate Victoria Alonso.
