Cariola assists in restructuring Puerto Central financing

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has assisted Banco Itaú Chile and Banco de Crédito e Inversiones as lenders, and BCI Asesoría Financiera as financial advisor, in connection with the restructuring of Tranche A of the long-term project financing granted in 2013 to Puerto Central, now DPW San Antonio, with the guarantee of Muellaje Central, for the construction, development and operation of Puerto San Antonio, operated under a port concession right granted by the Chilean state-owned company Empresa Portuaria San Antonio.

The transaction was completed on 23 May. The outstanding amount of the facility at the date of the restructuring was USD $195,820,358. Barros & Errazuriz acted as counsel to the borrower.
