Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos promotes three to partner
Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has promoted three partners, Andrea Saffie, Tomás Vidal and Eduardo Lobos, bringing the firm’s total number of partners to 26.

Illanes, the firm’s senior partner, said.
Andrea Saffie (pictured, top), graduated from the Universidad de Chile in 2008 with maximum distinction and has developed all of her career in the firm. She practices in M&As, in the family business area, and covers the services, gaming, oil, agroindustrial, hotel, paper and forestry, investment funds and family offices sectors.
Tomás Vidal (pictured, middle) studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), earning his law degree in 2007, and earned an LLM degree from California University Law School in Berkeley in 2012. He has provided commercial and corporate advice to local companies, including listed corporations, and subsidiaries of transnational companies and has an active practice in the real estate and insurance industries.
Eduardo Lobos (pictured, bottom) graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2005 and earned an LLM at University of California (UCLA) in 2012. Since 2013 he has been an arbitrator of NIC Chile for conflict resolution of assignment of domain names, and is a professor in the IP diploma at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He heads the firm’s litigation practice area of Industrial property of Sargent & Krahn, Cariola’s IP affiliate firm.
