Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos represented Oriental Yuhong on acquisition of Chilean retailer Construmart
Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has advised leading Chinese company Beijing Oriental Yuhong Waterproof Technology on the acquisition of Construmart, a major Chilean retailer of construction and home improvement materials.
Oriental Yuhong, a global producer of waterproof coatings, materials, and services for the construction industry, is expanding its presence in foreign markets as part of its strategy to establish an international retail and warehouse-style distribution network.
Under the terms of the deal, Oriental Yuhong will acquire 100% of the shares in Construmart for approximately US$123 million, purchasing them from Chilean shareholders Inversiones RTB, Inversiones Doña Tati Limitada, and Inversiones de Atacama Limitada. The deal was signed on July 15, 2025.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the Chilean market, Construmart is a key player in the construction materials and home improvement retail sector. The company operates 31 stores nationwide, offering a wide range of products including construction supplies, finishing materials, paint, plumbing, electrical items, wood, and more.
