Cascione has a new intelectual property and privacy partner
Cascione Advogados announced the hire of Karin Klempp Franco (pictured) as a new intelectual property and privacy partner. She holds a degree from the University of São Paulo, a master’s degree from the University of Cologne, Germany, and a doctorate in commercial law from USP. Karin is also an undergraduate and graduate professor for commercial law, contracts, intellectual property, privacy, ADRs and Compliance at Facamp – Faculdades Campinas. She focuses her practice on intellectual property and personal data protection. She also acts as a mediator, arbitrator and specialist for conflict resolution in domain names in several institutions.
Karin is based in São Paulo and brings to Cascione’s portfolio her extensive experience in serving companies of all sectors and sizes. She worked at the Baker & McKenzie offices in Frankfurt (1996) and Düsseldorf (2000), Germany. She is Vertrauensanwältin (Trusted Lawyer) at the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (Austrian Chamber of Commerce) in São Paulo. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has a Fellowship in International Commercial Arbitration by the CIArb (FCIArb) – Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – London.
