CGV announces new partner for Digital Law, Contracts and Insurance Strategy

João Quinelato comes to expand and ratify Chalfin Goldberg Vainboim Advogados’ practice

CGV announced the arrival of João Quinelato as partner of Digital Law, Contracts and Insurance Strategy. Working with startups, especially in the technology, entertainment, and games segments, João has experience in structuring private equity investment rounds, Series A, B, and C investments in Brazil and abroad, and has worked in operations involving offshore vehicles.

Quinelato will also work in the Contracts area, bringing with him a background in internal legal practice at multinational companies in the infrastructure, engineering, media, and entertainment industries.

João holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Civil Law from UERJ, is a professor of Civil Law at IBMEC’s undergraduate and graduate programs in Civil Law at UERJ and PUC-Rio, and has presented papers at the Washington College of Law and the University of Coimbra.

He is also President of the OAB Federal Council’s Commission on Private Law and New Technologies, general secretary of the OAB-RJ Civil Law Commission, member of the OAB Federal Council’s Civil Law Commission, and Financial Director of the Brazilian Institute of Civil Law – IBDCivil. He is a member of the Association Henri Capitant des Amis de la Culture Juridique Française.
