Chadbourne instructed on lawsuit against Fox Sports Latin America

Chadbourne & Parke has filed a lawsuit on behalf of soccer channel GolTV against Fox Sports Latin America. 

GolTV, a Florida-based network, alleges that Fox executives bribed directors of the South American soccer federation, Conmebol, to obtain television rights for the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa soccer tournaments.

According to reports, GolTV has repeatedly lost out on the television rights to tournaments that Fox Sports aired. The company filed the suit in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. 

Fox denied the allegations in a statement circulated last week.
