Chile’s Cariola advises Marina del Sol on casino merger
Chilean law firm Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has advised Marina del Sol on the merger with Sun Dreams of its casino operations in Latin America, a deal valued at around $450 million.
The fusion creates one of South America’s largest casino operators.
Marina del Sol operates three casino, hotel and restaurant complexes in Chile, with facilities in Osorno, Calama and Talcahuano, and with a fourth complex, in Chillán, in development.
Sun Dreams is a Chilean company that operates casinos, hotels, restaurants, discotheques, bars, convention centres and spas in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Panama and Peru.
Cariola’s team advising Marina del Sol was led by partner Sergio Díez, with associates Ernesto Eckholt, Teresita Melero, Mario Rojas and Dominique Potin.
