The ANFP is Chilean football’s governing body and monitors all the leagues’ clubs and acts as the organisational body for professional competitions, governing Chile’s first division and Primera B leagues, which total 32 clubs.

In 2008 the ANFP established the women’s first division, which comprises 14 teams.

ANFP was advised by law firm Alessandri Abogados with a team that included Rodrigo Velasco Alessandri and Javier Aleuanlli Sánchez.
