Chile’s Jara Del Favero adds 3 to its team

Chilean law firm Jara Del Favero Abogados has recruited three new lawyers to its team, with the addition of Macarena Naranjo Opazo, who joins the firm’s corporate and anti-trust team, and whose hiring follows that of partner Álvaro Caviedes Barahona, who joined the firm’s finance and capital markets practice in May.

Macarena NaranjoThe firm has also hired Christian Schiessler as a lawyer, who focuses on private equity and investments.

Macarena Naranjo (pictured) has worked in the public and private sector in Chile, in the country’s Education Superintendency, focusing on administrative law, and for FerradaNehme, where she advised local and international clients on anti-trust laws. 

She holds an LLM from Columbia University in New York, where she studied as a Fulbright scholar, and with a stipend from Becas Chile.

Caviedes Barahona (pictured, below) joins the firm’s other five partners and holds an LLM from the University of Chicago, and has ample experience advising companies on project financing, bond issuances, M&A and telecommunications, among other areas. 

Christian Schiessler holds an LLM from Northwestern University, Chicago, and has ample experience in investment, mutual funds, private equity and portfolio management, the Santiago-based law firm said.
