ClarkeModet appoints new legal services director for Brazil
ClarkeModet has appointed Ricardo Boclin as its new technical and legal services director in Brazil
Under Boclin’s leadership, the firm will bring together technical and legal advisory services in intellectual property (IP), and he joins the firm to lead a team of more than 30 professionals that includes attorneys and specialised technical consultants.
Boclin (pictured) is a renowned IP expert with more than 25 years of experience. Prior to joining ClarkeModet he was a partner with Ouro Preto Advogados, Kasznar Leonardos and Momsen Leonardos.
He has also formed part of the product development and sales teams in companies such as Coca-Cola Brazil, Krones, and Petersen Matex.
Commenting on Boclin’s appointment, Claudio Castanheira, managing director of ClarkeModet Brazil, said, “the strong background and vast experience of Ricardo Boclin will strengthen the technical and legal services of ClarkeModet, which focuses on strategic advice and enabling our clients’ assets to gain a competitive advantage. He will be responsible for conducting his team through fundamental challenges faced by our clients at a time in which IP is gaining an increasingly important role in the ecosystem of innovation and new technologies globally”.
Ricardo Boclin holds a law degree from Universidad Estácio de Sá and in mechanical engineering from the Universidad Pontificia Católica of Río de Janeiro.
He holds an MBA from IBMEC and is currently a member of the ABPI Council and of the Intellectual Property Committee of ANPEI, in addition to belonging to various national and international IP associations, such as AIPPI, ANPEI, or INTA.
ClarkeModet Brazil is one of the 10 companies owned by ClarkeModet, a firm specialising in IP in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
