Cleary Gottlieb advised Argentina in $9 billion bond offering
Cleary Gottlieb advised the Republic of Argentina on its first dollar-denominated new money issuance registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission since returning to international capital markets in April 2016.
The transaction launched and priced on January 4 and closed on January 11, 2018 and yielded three series of bonds: 4.625% bonds due 2023, 5.875% bonds due 2028 and 6.875% bonds due 2048.
Partner Andrés de la Cruz led the Cleary Gottlieb team advising the Republic.
Argentina relied on in-house counsel at the Ministry of Finance.
