Cleary Gottlieb advised initial purchasers on $500 million offering by Brazilian hospital group

Itau BBA, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Bradesco and BTG Pactual were the initial purchasers of the offering.  

Rede D’Or is considered the largest independent private hospital group in Brazil. It owns and manages over 35 hospitals and oncology clinics across the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Pernambuco as well as the Federal District. 

The transaction consisted of an initial Rule 144A/Reg. S offering of $500 million in 4.950% Notes due 2028. It closed on January 17, 2018 and proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The Cleary team advising the banks included São Paulo based partner Juan Giráldez as well as associates in both New York and São Paulo.
