Cleary Gottlieb represents underwriters on Colombia’s US$4.95 billion bond offering
Cleary Gottlieb has advised the underwriters, including BofA Securities, Citigroup Global Markets, and Deutsche Bank Securities, in the Republic of Colombia’s SEC-registered bond offering totaling US$4.95 billion.
The transaction comprises three tranches: US$2 billion in 5.375% bonds due 2029, US$1.475 billion in 6.125% bonds due 2031, and US$1.475 billion in 6.5% bonds due 2033. The bonds were launched and priced on January 13, 2026, with closing expected on January 21, 2026.
Colombia plans to use the proceeds for general budgetary purposes. The bonds are expected to be listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
