Cleary Gottlieb LatAm securities specialist leaves for Allen & Overy in New York

Allen & Overy’s New York office has boosted its securities practice with the hire of David Flechner as a partner from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

Flechner, who was counsel at his previous firm, has expertise in representing issuers and underwriters in SEC-registered offerings of debt and equity securities, with a focus on Latin America. He also advises foreign issuers on their ongoing SEC-reporting obligations and corporate governance matters.

Flechner also has extensive experience advising clients on financing transactions, particularly in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.
