Cleary Gottlieb represents Brazil in $3bn global notes issuance
Cleary Gottlieb has represented the Republic of Brazil in the SEC-registered offerings of $2.5 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.750 per cent global bonds due 2050, and $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.500 per cent global bonds due 2029.
The latter issuance is a further issuance of, and a consolidated single series fully fungible with, $1.5 billion aggregate principal amount of Brazil’s 4.500 perc ent global bonds due 2029 issued on March 28, 2019.
BNP Paribas, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs & Co acted as joint lead managers for the offering. The offering priced on November 4, 2019, and closed on November 14, 2019.
The global notes were registered with the SEC under Brazil’s registration statement on Schedule B and were listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on November 15, 2019.
