Cleary represents Mexico in €2.4bn offering
Cleary Gottlieb has represented Mexico in a multi-tranche registered offering totaling €2.4bn, comprised of €1.4bn principal amount of 4.625% global bonds due 2033 and €1bn principal amount of 5.125% global bonds due 2037.
The offering was launched and priced on January 27 and closed on February 4. Mexico intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the bonds for general financing purposes.
BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, HSBC Bank plc, and Société Générale acted as underwriters for the offering. Ritch Mueller acted as counsels to the banks in Mexico, while Sullivan & Cromwell advised them in the US.
