Clifford Chance advises Obton on solar projects financing in Chile
Clifford Chance has advised Obton, as sponsor, on the financing for the acquisition and construction of a portfolio of PMGD and PMG solar PV projects in Chile.
This transaction marks Obton’s first project financing in Latin America.
DNB Bank acted as creditor, being advised by Carey in Chile and Milbank in the United States. Arteaga Gorziglia advised Obton locally.
Obton is an investment company focused on the development and management of solar PV projects around the world.
Carey’s team was led by partners Felipe Moro, Juan Pablo Stitchkin and José Tomás Hurley, with support from associates Javiera Avilés, Catalina Valenzuela, Felipe Reyes and Magdalena Menchaca.
Milbank’s team was represented by partners Roland Estevez and Jaime Ramirez.
