Clifford Chance and Rebaza advise on $25m Electro Dunas loan
Clifford Chance and Rebaza, Alcázar & De Las Casas advised Brazilian bank BTG Pactual on a $25 million loan to Peruvian utility company Electro Dunas.
The financing is guaranteed through shares issued by Electro Dunas, an electricity distribution company in Peru.
This security structure is the first of its kind in Peru as it involves the “transfer in trust” of a listed company on the Lima Stock Exchange.
Simpson Thacher Bartlett in New York and Santivañez Abogados in Lima acted for Electro Dunas on the deal.
