CMA announces the integration of Schmidt Valois into its platform
Campos Mello Advogados (CMA), has announced the integration of Schmidt Valois. Founded nearly two decades ago, Schmidt Valois has established itself as a top-tier firm in strategic sectors and cross-border transactions.
The firm has advised both domestic and international clients on projects of high relevance to Brazil’s development. Natural resources, energy, and infrastructure are sectors that consistently demand cross-border expertise and multijurisdictional capabilities — which are at the very core of CMA’s DNA. Over the years, CMA has become a distinctive platform for handling complex matters, grounded in consistent and strategic international integration.
This union also carries a personal dimension: Paulo Valois Pires (pictured left), one of Schmidt Valois’s founding partners, and Fabio P. Campos Mello (pictured right), CMA’s Managing Partner, have known each other for nearly three decades, always maintaining mutual respect and admiration. This makes the integration not only strategic, but also natural and built on shared values.
With this integration, CMA now counts 33 partners and 104 lawyers, significantly strengthening its expertise in natural resources, infrastructure, and litigation — while preserving the proximity and technical excellence that have always defined its history.
