CMRC Law announces new partner
CMRC Law announce the addition of Luiz Claudio Rodrigues de Carvalho as a new partner.
A law graduate from Faculdade do Largo São Francisco/USP, Carvalho brings extensive experience in the political sector, with a track record of contributing to multiple government levels and effectively advocating for clients’ interests.
Carvalho’s professional experience includes several important roles within the Secretariat of Finance and Planning of the State of São Paulo, such as Fuel Inspection Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Executive Board of Tax Administration (DEAT), and Coordinator of Tax Administration (CAT).
In the political arena, he has held key positions including Secretary of Finance for the State of São Paulo (2018), Secretary of Finance for the State of Rio de Janeiro (2019-2020), and Parliamentary Advisor to the Government Leadership in the Chamber of Deputies (2020-2022). During his tenure as Parliamentary Advisor, Carvalho contributed to drafting the Tax Reform proposal (2020-2022), which is currently in the process of being approved by the National Congress.
