Consortium Legal instructed on Honduras hydro energy project

Consortium Legal helped Energías Limpias del Yaguala obtain a $172 million loan in Honduras.

Energías Limpias del Yaguala operates a new hydro-energy project in Northern Honduras. The privately-owned project, one of the largest of its type in Honduras, has an estimated power capacity of 63 megawatts.

Banco Atlántida is the agent and structuring bank for the syndicated loan. This transaction is considered the largest loan ever funded 100% solely by Honduran financial entities.

Partner José Ramón Paz Sr led the Consortium Legal team advising the borrower.
