Consortium promotes Felipe Guevara to partner
Consortium Legal has announced the appointment of Felipe Guevara Leandro (pictured) as partner of the tax practice in Costa Rica.
Felipe joined the firm in 2017, and has more than 14 years of experience in providing legal advice in tax law. He specialises in providing tax legal advice and tax planning to local, regional and multinational companies.
He has been Costa Rica’s representative to the YIN (Young IFA Network) and the group of young professionals of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He was also recently appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Institute of Fiscal Studies (ICEF). His active participation in the public and academic spheres has positioned him as an influential figure in the national tax field, being also recognised as a columnist in important media of the country.
With a law degree from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), he also holds specialisations in taxation from the same university, as well as from the Tecnológico de Costa Rica and the Instituto de Estudios Fiscales de Madrid, in addition to an MBA from the EAE Business School.
With this promotion, the number of local partners in Costa Rica has increased to 23 and to 63 in the Central American region.
