Creel García-Cuéllar names new partners for 2024
Mexican law firm Creel García-Cuéllar Aiza y Enríquez has announced the promotion of Gerardo Zimbrón (pictured left) and Luis Salinas (pictured right) as new partners of the firm effective 1 January 2024.
Gerardo specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and asset sales and purchases. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana and an LLM from the University of Virginia. He joined the firm in 2008 and served as a foreign associate for one year at Cravath Swaine & Moore in New York.
Luis specialises in tax controversy and litigation, and the tax aspects of digital platforms. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana and obtained his LLM in International Tax Law from New York University. Prior to joining the firm in 2020, he served as acting head of the Procuraduría de la Defensa del Contribuyente (PRODECON), where he also held other positions, and worked as an associate at the firms Jones Day and Basham Ringe y Correa.
