Cristián Barros takes over as managing partner of Barros & Errázuriz
Chilean law firm Barros & Errázuriz announced it has elected Cristián Barros as its new managing partner.
Barros has been at the firm for 28 years and became a partner in 1999. From 2006 to 2016, he was co-managing partner, along with Pablo Guerrero.
“As part of my return to management, I will have the challenge of facing a new stage of development and growth with a more institutionalized firm” said Cristián Barros in the announcement.
One of the top priorities on Barros’ agenda is likely the strengthening of crossborder legal services, through the Affinitas network of law firms, which brings together Miranda & Amado in Peru, Gómez-Pinzón in Colombia and Mexico’s Mijares Angoitia Cortés y Fuentes. “Through this legal network we seek to increase the integration of these markets and promote business within the region and Asia Pacific rim” he said.
Cristián Barros, who will hold the position for three years, replaces Gonzalo Molina, thes managing partner for the last 2 years. “We appreciate the valuable work of Gonzalo Molina during these years and his enormous contribution to this Study”, he said about his predecessor.
