CSMV announces new partner
CSMV Advogados has announced Pedro Henrique Mendonça (pictured) as a new partner in the sports and entertainment area.
A member of the firm’s team for almost three years, Pedro has worked extensively in the sports area, especially in litigation and advising soccer clubs and Olympic and Paralympic sports management bodies.
He has now joined the firm to reinforce CSMV Advogados’ commitment to excellence in client service and to further strengthen the practice, led by André Sica. Currently a member of the editorial board of the South America, Central America and Caribbean division of the global publication LawInSport, Pedro was also president of the OAB/DF Sports Law Commission.
He has a law degree from PUC-Rio and a master’s degree in transactional law from the Portuguese Catholic University, where he studied trends in the interaction between European Union legislation and the Lex Sportiva.
He also holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the same institution. He also has a postgraduate degree in Contracts from FGV and in Sports Law from Candido Mendes University, and attended the LL.M. in Corporate Law at Ibmec.
Pedro’s expectation as a partner at CSMV is to be able to contribute to the expansion of the sports and entertainment law practice, also following the trend of market expansion in recent years, with the formation of SAFs in national soccer, the growth of investment in sport, the consolidation of alternative methods of resolving sports disputes, among other recent movements.
