Cuatrecasas adds new arbitration partner in Mexico

Cuatrecasas announced the addition of René Irra as a partner in the arbitration practice group in Mexico City. 

Rene Irra has extensive experience in court proceedings and international arbitration carried out under institutional and ad hoc rules, acting as lawyer, arbitrator or expert in Mexican law in matters outside of Mexico.

He expertise include cases in n sectors such as port activities, international trade, building and infrastructures, sports, energy (electricity, oil and gas), real estate, foreign investment, leisure and entertainment, M&A transactions, health, transport, logistics and investor-state dispute settlements. Irra is also regional coordinator for Latin America of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF), chair of the ICC’s Young Arbitrators Committee in Mexico and deputy chair of the Mexican Society of Construction Law.

He joins Cuatrecasas from Mexican law firm Irra Ibarra.
