Cuatrecasas adds third partner in Mexico

The Iberian law firm announced the arrival of Santiago Ferrer as a partner.

Ferrer joins Cuatrecasas from the Mexico City office of Hogan Lovells and has over 15 years of experience in M&A and regulatory matters. He is a law graduate of the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico and also holds an LLM from Northwestern University.

His career includes stints as international associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in NY and Jenner & Block in Chicago. More recently, he spent 14 years at legacy Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, the Mexican law firm which joined Hogan Lovells in 2014.

Cuatrecasas launched in Mexico earlier in 2016 and relocated Agustín Cerdá y Mariano Ucar to lead the office. With the arrival of Santiago Ferrer, the firm now has three partners in Mexico City.

The move comes shortly after the firm announced management changes at their Sao Paulo office.
