Cuatrecasas advises CGE on Argentinian assets’ sale to Naturgy

Cuatrecasas has assisted Compañía General de Electricidad to close the $22 million sale

Cuatrecasas advised Compañía General de Electricidad (CGE) on selling its assets in Argentina to Naturgy Inversiones Internacionales for $22 million. The assets comprise its shareholding in the companies CGE Argentina, Agua Negra and Gascart.

The transaction was closed on January 4, 2021, and, since there were related parties, had to meet strict corporate governance requirements, including a shareholders meeting at CGE to approve the sale.
