Cuatrecasas advises Energía de Colombia on key financing
Cuatrecasas advised Energía de Colombia STR S.A.S. E.S.P. and sponsors on closing financing worth COP$ 707.5 billion, granted to refinance the company’s existing debt and to implement a cash-out with its shareholders.
This transaction is key for developing the business project of Energía de Colombia STR S.A.S. E.S.P., as it will enable it to meet the growing electricity demand in Colombia, ensuring a continuous and stable service provision and favoring the energy transition.
The firm’s advisory team was made up of Manuel Quinche (pictured left), Natalia Arango (pictured right), Juan Carlos Camacho, Manuela Gaitán and Anita Zuluaga; Manuel Gómez and Rafael Marulanda. Advising on the financing were Agustín Cerdá, Íñigo Rubio, Adrián García Canal and María Granero de la Asunción.
