Cuatrecasas advises IFC Group on the sale of its Brazilian subsidiary

Industrial Farmaceutica Cantabria (IFC Group) instructed Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira in the sale of its subsidiary in Brazil, Melora do Brasil Productos Dermatológicos, to Grupo Farmoquímica. 

The sale, of undisclosed value, includes disinvestment and the exclusive distribution of products and raw materials over a ten-year period. IFC Group is a global group of skincare companies headquartered in Santander, Spain. Grupo Farmoquímica is a pharmaceutical company based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which manufactures and markets drugs upon medical prescription.

The Cuatrecasas team advising IFC Group included lawyers in Sao Paulo, Madrid and Barcelona and it was led by partners Andoni Hernández and Maria da Paz Tierno Lopes.

Machado Meyer Sendacz Opice Advogados acted for Grupo Farmoquímica on the acquisition.
