Cuatrecasas advises on registration of Muon as acquirer in Colombia

Cuatrecasas, through its Bogotá office, has advised V5 PTE. LTD. in the process of authorizing the registration of Muon Group in the Register of Non-Supervised Acquirers of the Colombian Financial Superintendency.

This registration will allow Muon Group to start operations in Colombia as an acquirer within the payment system. In addition, the process allowed the company to understand the functioning of the payments ecosystem in the country, as well as to forge alliances with participants to provide its services.

This is the third such authorisation granted by the Superfinanciera in the country.

Cuatrecasas’ team was led by partner Juan Carlos Puentes (pictured), with the support of lawyers Camila Orrego, Carolina Trejos, Daniela Rivera, Juan Camilo Rangel, Martín Téllez and Anita Zuluaga.
