Cuatrecasas strengthens its Finance and Structure practice by appointing Ana María Sánchez as partner in its Bogota office

 Cuatrecasas has appointed Ana María Sánchez as new partner in the Finance and Structure practice to strengthen its Bogotá office. This appointment reinforces the firm’s commitment to its expansion and consolidation project in the Latin American legal sector.

Since its opening, just over a year ago, the Bogotá office has experienced significant growth, consolidating Cuatrecasas as a leading law firm in the region. The office currently has almost fifty collaborators, distributed among its main areas, which are: Corporate and M&A, Infrastructure, Energy, Tax, Finance, Labour and Environment.

Ana María Sánchez (pictured) holds a Law Degree and a Specialization in Public Management and Administrative Institutions from the Universidad de los Andes, as well as a Master of Laws in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University. Ana María has extensive experience in structured corporate financings in various industries, as well as in project finance, advising sponsors, multilateral agencies and commercial banks in the structuring, development and implementation of corporate finance and infrastructure projects, in all types of sectors. Prior to joining Cuatrecasas, she worked at leading firms in Colombia, Peru and the United States, and has spent most of her professional career advising private sector companies on all types of Mergers and Acquisitions.
