Cuatrecasas counsels on a syndicated loan to Ameris

Cuatrecasas, through its Chilean office, has counselled Banco Security, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones and Penta Seguros de Vida in the granting of a bullet syndicated credit facility to Ameris Capital, a leading fund manager in the Chilean market.
The funds will be used to purchase quotas of international Feeder Funds in line with its expansion plan in the region. The negotiation of the interest rate, the terms of the facility and the closing of the transaction have been particularly challenging given the current volatility of the Chilean market, mainly due to the political and social uncertainty in the country.
Ameris is a financial firm dedicated to alternative asset management in the real estate, private debt, private equity and infrastructure sectors. They have a team of more than 70 people, who are also actively involved in the institutional distribution and corporate finance business.
Cuatrecasas’ team was led by partner Macarena Ravinet (pictured), assisted by associate Tomás Montes and lawyer Martín Dell’Oro.
