Cuatrecasas has advised Bancolombia and Corporación Interamericana de Inversiones on granting of credit in favour of Bosques Solares de los Llanos 1, 2 and 3

Cuatrecasas, through its Bogotá office, has advised Bancolombia and the Inter-American Investment Corporation (as agent on behalf of the Inter-American Development Bank and as sub-implementing entity of the Clean Technology Fund Trust Fund) in the granting of a syndicated loan to Bosques Solares de Los Llanos 1, Bosques Solares de Los Llanos 2 and Bosques Solares de Los Llanos 3 of Matrix Renewables Colombia, for the operation and maintenance of three photovoltaic plants with a capacity of 81. 6 MWp in Puerto Gaitán, Meta.

This is the first long-term financing for operational solar PV projects in Colombia. In addition, Bosques Solares de Los Llanos 1, 2 and 3 represent the largest portfolio of operational PV projects in Colombia.

The development of these projects enables the production of clean energy, contributes to the diversification of Colombia’s energy matrix and generates around 500 jobs, which will be mainly filled by local workers.
