Cuatrecasas helps Delivery Hero buy Glovo’s Latin America business

Cuatrecasas has advised Delivery Hero on its acquisition of the Latin America business of Spanish on-demand delivery app Glovo

Diana RiveraThe transaction is valued at 230 million euros ($270 million) and includes a 60-million-euro earn-out, and is subject to conditions and the necessary regulatory approval.

The deal hands Berlin-based Delivery Hero the businesses operated by Glovo in Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.

Cuatrecasas’ team advising Delivery Hero was led by Madrid-based partner Diana Rivera (pictured) with of counsel Alejandro Negro, partner Jorge Aranaz, assictaes Ana Laso, Adaya Esteban and Lucas Peiro de la Rocha, and partner Óscar Trelles and associate Victor Pedro León Chiri in Cuatrecasas’ Lima office.

Law firm Ferrere collaborated with Cuatrecasas with regards to the acquisition of Glovo in Ecuador, while law firm Arias also participated as counsel to Delivery Hero on its acquisition of Glovo’s business in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras.
