Cuatrecasas in financing for the Santana-Moca-Neiva road concession
Cuatrecasas, through its Bogotá office, has advised Concesionaria Ruta al Sur, Patria Investimentos and Mercantil Colpatria, as sponsors, on the financing of more than USD $650 million for the design, construction, operation, maintenance and renovation of the Santana-Moca-Neiva road concession.
This is one of the most significant financial closings for road infrastructure in Colombia, which not only secures the necessary funds for the construction and maintenance of this strategic project for the region, but also aims to improve connectivity, promote economic development, increase road safety and foster regional integration.
It was a complex financing structure involving the jurisdictions of Colombia and the United States.
Bancolombia, Itaú Colombia, IDB Invest, Banco Santander, MUFG Bank, Siemens, Societe Generale, and BNP Paribas acted as lenders, advised by Martínez Quintero Mendoza González Laguado & De La Rosa.
Martínez’ team comprised Sebastián Lora, Carlos Guzmán, Felipe Buitrago and Isabela Ramírez.
Cuatrecasas’ team included partners Manuel Quinche (pictured left), Natalia Arango (pictured right) and Ana María Sánchez, associates Manuela Gaitán, Marcos Díaz, Álvaro Rueda and Juan Camilo Rangel, and junior associate Nicolás Villaneda.
