Cuatrecasas Peru advises Grandview Brokerage on Agroretail acquisition

Cuatrecasas in Peru has advised Grandview Brokerage, part of the Oppenheimer Group, a major fruit and vegetable distributor, on its acquisition of 50 per cent stake in Agroretail, a fruit supplier to Peru’s retail sector.

The Cuatrecasas team in Peru advised on the due diligence and the negotiatiion of the share purchase and shareholders agreements.

Óscar Trelles (pictured), a partner in the Lima office’s corporate and commercial practice, led the advisory team, which also included lawyers Kiomi Osorio, Angélica Congrains and María José Amado.

Trelles said this transaction shows that, despite the current crisis arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, there are sectors that maintain a positive outlook and remain attractive to foreign strategic players.
