Davis Polk advised Cosan on $212 million equity offer

Davis Polk acted for Cosan on its modified “Dutch Auction” tender offer in New York. 

Cosan is the world’s largest sugar and ethanol producer as well as the world’s largest grower of sugarcane, the largest natural gas distributor in its home country Brazil, the operator of the largest bulk port terminal in the world, the world’s largest producer of energy from sugarcane, the second-largest lubricants player and one of the largest private landowners in the country

Through the transaction, Cosan purchased $212.5 million in value of its Class A common shares trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
