Demarest adds insurance partner
Brazilian law firm Demarest has announced the arrival of a new partner. Luciana Prado, who joins the insurance and reinsurance practice.
Luciana brings more than 20 years of experience in the sector, of which she spent the last 12 years at Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. and Quiroga Advogados.
A graduate in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Luciana (pictured) holds a specialisation in contracts and civil procedure law from the same educational institution.
Among her specialties are regulatory consultancy for the insurance and reinsurance, supplementary pension (open and closed) and supplementary health sectors.
Her operations also involve mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring within such areas.
“Our observation of market movements identified in Luciana a potential talent to assume a prominent position in areas that we consider strategic for the firm,” Paulo Coelho da Rocha, managing partner at Demarest, said
“Her competence, added to the versatility of her performance, will certainly contribute to the excellence of our services,” he added.
