Demarest advise on the acquisition of Curtis Instruments

Demarest advised on the transaction of the acquisition of all of the shares of Curtis Instruments, previously held by Rehlko, by Parker-Hannifin Corporation.

Curtis is a North American company that designs and manufactures motor speed controllers, instrumentation, energy conversion systems, and input devices for mobile machines, primarily for electric vehicle motors, hydraulics, and electrification technologies.

Domestically, the transaction resulted in a horizontal overlap between the Parties’ portfolios of information displays for ground vehicles, but internationally, it resulted primarily in the combination of the motor speed controller portfolios of both companies. The transaction value was USD 1 billion.

Demarest advised Parker Hannifin Industria E Comercio and relied on partners Bruno Drago (pictured left) and Marco Antonio Fonseca (pictured right), associate Otavio Cividanes.

Jones Day e Eversheds Sutherland were also involved at this transaction.
