Demarest advises on DyStar Global receivership
Under A&O Shearman‘s coordination, Demarest has advised the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC)-appointed receivers from Deloitte Singapore on all Brazilian matters related to the landmark receivership of DyStar Global Holdings.
The receivers were originally appointed to conduct a court-supervised, competitive en bloc sale of the DyStar shares, but the process ultimately culminated in the sale of the minority stake held by Kiri Industries to the majority shareholder Senda International Capital Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Longsheng Group.
The transaction value was USD 1.8 billion.
Demarest relied on partners Thiago Sandim (pictured), Marcelo Peloso, Bruno Aurelio, Camila Biral Vieira da Cunha, Fernanda Stefanelo, Marcelo Annunziata, Milena Arbizu, Renato Canizares, associates Joao de Godoy, Felipe Kauffman Herszkowicz, Andre Leme, Beatriz Marino, Munir Saaf, Oscar Hatakeyama, Patrick Lobo.
