Demarest advises Werthein Group on the acquisition of ZaaZ
Demarest advised the Werthein Group, controller of Vrio and Sky in Brazil, on the acquisition of 93.5% of the share capital of ZaaZ.
ZaaZ operates in the broadband market through neutral networks and its acquisition represents the continuity of the Werthein Group’s thesis of growing operations in Brazil through the purchase of neutral network companies and strengthens synergies in the supply of audiovisual content.
The company’s CEO, Cristiano Santana, remains in the deal, which also involved the restructuring of debentures issued by the company.
The closing was subject to prior analysis by CADE and approval by ANATEL, among other conditions. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
