Demarest advises winning consortium for BR-040 and BR-495
Demarest advised the consortium formed by Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comércio, Ohla Concesiones SL, and Sociedad Anónima de Obras y Servicios Copasa, winner of the bid for the concession of sections of federal highways BR-040/MG, BR-040/RJ, and BR-495/RJ. The project involves investments of R$ 5 billion over 30 years and provides for a 14% discount on toll rates.
To make the operation legally viable, the group structured a joint venture called Elovias, a company that will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and expansion of the highway infrastructure.
The consortium was awarded the concession. The winning bid provided for a 14% discount on the toll rate and involves investments of BRL 5 billion over the 30-year concession period.
