Demarest announces new TMT partner
Demarest Advogados announced the hiring of Beatriz França (pictured) as a new partner in the TMT practice area (Telecommunications, Media and Technology).
Beatriz has 20 years of experience in Administrative and Regulatory Law, with a strong focus on the telecommunications and digital services sectors, and a distinguished track record in the satellite industry. She advises companies operating in regulated and related markets on legal and regulatory matters.
The new partner advises on a wide range of topics, assisting foreign companies entering the country – from defining business models to securing licenses and drafting contracts. Her practice also includes supporting companies in public hearings and consultations involving telecommunications and digital services, as well as liaising with regulatory authorities.
As an expert in the sector, Beatriz has in-depth knowledge of public tenders, concessions and government contracts, and also represents clients in administrative proceedings and disputes. She has been part of the ABDTIC’s Board of Directors (Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communications Law) since 2016 – an organization dedicated to legal studies of the sector, which she previously chaired.
She holds both a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law and a bachelor’s degree in Law from PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo).
