Demarest counsels on acquisition of Ritrama Group by Fedrigoni
Brazilian law firm Demarest has acted as deal counsel in the acquisition of the Ritrama Group, an Italian company that manufactures adhesive products, by Fedrigoni, a manufacturer of specialty papers for fine printing, as well as adhesive labels, and which s the world’s second-largest producer of wine labels.
The acquisition, the second since Fedrigoni’s acquisition by Bain Capital, reinforces Fedrigoni’s position as one of the top players in the European pressure-sensitive labels market, Fedrigoni said in a statement.
“Strong synergies exist between the businesses of Arconvert and Ritrama,” according to Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni Group.
The transaction “ensures the Ritrama Group and its organization will continue to grow in a healthy and rapidly-expanding industrial reality, the Fedrigoni Group. Ritrama and Fedrigoni share common values”, Ritrama’s president Tomas Rink said.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Demarest’s lawyers advising on the deal were partner Daniel Andreoli (pictured) and Mariana Llamazalez Ou.
