Demarest expands finance area
About to celebrate its 77th anniversary, Demarest Advogados has announced Mariane Kondo (pictured) as its new partner to work in the Investment Funds and Asset Management area. With her arrival, the firm now has 100 partners.
Joining Demarest’s team, Mariane Kondo brings 17 years’ experience in the area, advising clients on structuring investment funds and transactions involving the purchase and sale of asset portfolios. Her practice encompasses advisory, transactional and regulatory issues in the sector, ranging from setting up a management company to regulatory issues and raising investment funds with a variety of strategies.
A law graduate from PUC-SP, Demarest’s new partner studied succession planning at FGV-SP and also worked as a foreign associate at Dechert LLP in New York and at Maples Group in the Cayman Islands.
