Demarest hires three new partners
Demarest Advogados has announced the hiring of partners Maiara Madureira, Paula Magalhães and Luiz Felipe Eustaquio (pictured from left to right).
Maiara holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and a master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). As a Commercial Law specialist, she was the head of B3’s regulation and monitoring of issuers for seven years, where she played a key role in major projects such as the New “Novo Mercado” Regulation, the Corporate Governance Code for Listed Companies, and the State-Owned Governance Highlight Program. What is more, she serves as a professor at the Brazilian Institute for Corporate Governance (IGBC).
Paula holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and has 23 years of experience in the legal market, concentrating her practice in listed companies, OPAs (takeover bids), IPOs (initial public offerings) and follow-ons, among other matters within the scope of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and Brazil’s Stock Exchange (B3 S.A.). – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão (B3).
Luiz Felipe holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUC-PR) and an LLM degree from Columbia Law School in the US. As a specialist in equity and debt capital markets (IPOs, follow-ons and debt instruments) and M&A matters, he has served in major law firms across Brazil and was a foreign associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell.
Paula, Maiara and Luiz Felipe join Demarest with a team of six associates.
