Dentons assists HopeXchange in Guatemala hospital acquisition

Dentons has assisted HopeXchange, an international non-profit humanitarian association, in the acquisition of the San Juan Bautista Hospital of Jalpatagua in Guatemala (pictured), the main healthcare facility in the country’s south-eastern region.

San Juan Bautista Hospital GuatemalaDentons acted with a multi-jurisdictional team set up for Italy by partner Michael Bosco and for Guatemala by Dentons Muñoz managing partner Luis Abundio Maldonado and lawyer Nicolle Egger.

With this acquisition, HopeXchange aims to expand and improve the healthcare provided by the hospital, with the aim of replicating the success achieved by the medical center of the association in Kumasi in Ghana, according to Dentons.



The HopeXchange Medical Center in Ghana is a modern, innovative facility designed to promote action towards fighting diseases and is a regional hub for the delivery of specialised medical training and patient services.
