Dentons combines with firms in Argentina and Uruguay
Global law firm Dentons has combined with law firms in Argentina and Uruguay, giving the firm a presence in 23 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The firm has more than 10,000 lawyers across the globe, and these new combinations, in addition to others in the region announced in recent months, consolidate the firm as a regional leader, Dentons said in a press release.
“Dentons has become the first firm with total coverage of Latin America and the Caribbean, accordinf to the firm’s global president, Joe Andrew (pictured).
The law firm entered the region in 2016, and in August of this year announced its intention to combine with law firm Gustavo Zacapa y Asociados in Honduras to extend its reach in Central America and further its growth strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“Our clients have identified Argentina and Uruguay as priority markets and the combinations with Rattagan Macchiavello Arocena in Argentina and with Jiménez de Aréchaga, Viana & Brause in Uruguay will allow the firm to meet the needs of clients both in those countries and around the world,” Andrew said.
